## How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Educato account directly from your account settings:

1. **Go to Settings:** Navigate to your [Security Settings](/content/app/settings/security/index.html) page.
2. **Delete Account:** Scroll down to the "Delete account" section and click the delete button.
3. **Confirm Deletion:** Type your email address to confirm, then click "Delete" to permanently delete your account.

### Important Information About Your Data

- **Data Deletion:** Upon deleting your account, your personal data will be removed from our active databases.
- **Backup Data Retention:** Some of your data may be retained in our system backups for a limited period for operational continuity and data recovery purposes. This data will be securely erased in accordance with our data retention policy.
